Stenner Wealth Partners+ (SWP+) is an expert wealth advisory team within CG Wealth Management. Built on a foundation of expertise and excellence, SWP+ is one of the country’s premier teams serving ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and foundations across North America.
What truly sets SWP+ apart is its deliberate exclusivity. With a minimum threshold of $25 million+ in net worth or $10 million+ in investable assets, the team onboards only six to eight new key clients per year, allowing for a personalized, white-glove experience. This model ensures strategic depth and bespoke attention while leveraging the global infrastructure of Canaccord Genuity’s CAD $120.4 billion in global client assets under management.
SWP+’s cross-border licensing – Canada and the US – further empowers the firm to handle the intricate needs of clients with international business interests, complex estate plans, and global investment portfolios.
At the heart of SWP+’s success is its leadership by Thane Stenner, a 25-year+ wealth expert, who is both a practitioner and industry thought leader, known for his insights on platforms like The Globe and Mail, Canadian Family Offices, and BNN Bloomberg’s podcast Smart Wealth™ with Thane Stenner.
As a founding member, chairman emeritus, and former managing director of TIGER 21 Canada, Thane has cultivated an exclusive peer-to-peer network of high-net-worth investors managing over $220 billion in assets globally. His vision is complemented by a seasoned leadership team:
Simon Jochlin delivers analytic precision and portfolio rigour.
Jerome Li brings methodical, data-driven investment acumen, and significant due diligence expertise.
Julia Cheng oversees comprehensive financial planning and tax management administration with empathy and technical expertise.
Becky Howarth leads operational excellence and business development, ensuring a seamless client journey.
IQumulate invests in education and people, which are vital to attracting new business and talent to the company.
“We have long tenures for several of our key staff, including some in leadership positions, and this sound working knowledge of our business, practices and industry provides great insights and a wealth of experience to offer our clients,” says Bastow. “Our new head of sales, Graeme Gordon, formerly manager for New Zealand, joins us in Australia to drive our sales strategy and lead our team to successful outcomes for our clients and our business. We look forward to great things ahead with Graeme as he continues to be active and present in the New Zealand market as well as building sound working relationships and new connections in Australia.”
Clients can also expect a lot from working with IQumulate.
“Through active engagement with our trusted broker network, IQumulate provides relevant information, education and training content,” says Graeme Gordon, head of sales. “Our clients can expect IQumulate to support their business in several ways, providing an understanding of what premium funding solutions are available and how IQumulate can spread the cost of insurance and help borrowers get the right level of insurance cover to free up their cash flow for other expenses or business growth opportunities. Premium funding is often considered a tool for those who simply cannot afford to pay their premiums in full. While this is certainly a significant driver for many, it is also successfully used by profitable companies who use premium funding to manage their cash flows more wisely or better manage their liquidity.”
Together, the team offers over 85 years of combined expertise, while holding several elite designations such as three CFAs, FCSI, CIM, and over 50 global sources for latest investment research to keep on top and ahead of money-making trends. It has been nationally recognised by organizations such as Barron’s, as previously ranked #1 California-based team in 2020, and #3 in 2019. The team has offices in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Edmonton, and Calgary in Canada.
SWP+’s clients experience 25–50 tailored proactive touchpoints annually, with market updates, investment research, and access to best-in-class global investment opportunities. The onboarding process begins with an in-depth discovery session, where each client’s unique financial landscape is mapped out. From there, SWP+ crafts personalized investment strategies that blend traditional and alternative assets, with an emphasis on resilience, tax efficiency, risk and volatility management, and intergenerational success.
Recognised as one of Wealth Professional’s 5-Star Advisory Teams of 2025, SWP+ aims to deepen its client relationships, rather than trying to onboard too many new relationships. With a target of purposely growing its practice by only six to eight new key/larger clients a year, the SWP+ team feels that it has found a balance between ensuring that their existing clients are served very well, plus adding the steady growth of new relationships.
The team is scaling quality – not quantity – by investing in talent, enhancing digital tools, and expanding global planning capabilities. Its ultimate mission is to help families not just preserve wealth but thrive across generations.
In a marketplace often driven by volume and commoditization, SWP+ stands out as a standard-bearer for discretion, insight, and excellence – and a true leader in Canadian wealth advisory.
