“Our mission is simple: we empower financial planners to spend more time building trust, deepening client relationships, and growing their business”
Chris Arthur, Bold Wealth
If there’s one thing Canadian financial planners need more of, it’s time. Time to deepen relationships, grow their practices, and serve clients at a higher level. That's exactly what Chris Arthur, 2025 Wealth Professional Top 40 Under 40 award winner, is giving back to the advisory world through his role as CEO of Bold Wealth.
“The idea for Bold Wealth came from watching incredible financial planners spend the majority of their time managing operations, compliance, and tech, when they should’ve been focusing on clients,” Arthur explains. “I knew there had to be a better way.”
A Platform Built for Advisors, by Advisors. Bold Wealth is a modern, fully integrated platform purpose-built for independent financial planners. It combines powerful technology, pension-style investment management, and white-glove service, all under one roof. The result? Financial planners can confidently scale their businesses, deliver an exceptional client experience, and reclaim their time.
“Our mission is simple: we empower financial planners to spend more time building trust, deepening client relationships, and growing their business,” Arthur says. “That means removing operational inefficiencies through streamlined systems, smart automation, and hands-on support.”

Milestones
Arthur’s journey hasn’t followed a predictable corporate playbook. What set him apart from the beginning was a deep hunger to learn and a genuine empathy for the client experience.
“I put in the hours, stayed curious, and always asked why. Why do we do it this way? How does it affect the planner and the end client? That mindset helped me grow intentionally and build something others believed in,” he says. “At Bold Wealth, I still ask those questions every day.”
Empathy is more than a buzzword at Bold Wealth; it’s one of the firm’s leadership foundations.
“Whether I’m in a strategy session or a hiring meeting, I try to lead with understanding. Financial planners are under immense pressure, and so are our internal teams. The best way to earn trust is to truly listen,” Arthur explains. “Our goal is to be a partner to our financial planners and elevate their businesses, not slow them down.”
That empathy is balanced by Arthur’s operational rigour. He encourages his team to stay grounded by returning to three questions before every major decision:
Does this serve our financial planning partners?
Will it help build stronger client relationships?
Is this scalable?
Bold Wealth’s long-term vision is ambitious: to become Canada’s leading platform for financial planners by delivering powerful technology, pension-style investment management, and white-glove service, all under one roof.
It’s not just about AUM or headcount. It’s about building something sustainable, advisor-first, and future-proof – a company that redefines what support can look like for independent financial planners in Canada.
“Ultimately, our job is to make our financial planning partners look like heroes to their clients,” Arthur says. “If we do that right, everything else takes care of itself.”
