Adam Watson is a portfolio manager and co-founder of the JMRD Watson Wealth Management team at National Bank Financial. His 21-person team operates in four offices along Ontario’s Highway 401 corridor. His areas of expertise include portfolio management and financial and estate planning for high-net-worth families.
Watson draws on 15 years of experience in the industry. He had prepared for this career his whole life as a second-generation wealth advisor who grew up working with his parents in high school, university and beyond. He develops comprehensive wealth management solutions for families, professionals and business owners, and his team strives to build long-lasting relationships with entire families using a multigenerational approach.
Watson and the JMRD Watson Team received National Bank Financial’s prestigious Wealth Management Excellence Award in 2019, and the Private Portfolio of the Year Award in 2020 and 2022. He earned an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from Wilfrid Laurier University. He has many industry designations to support his years of experience.
Watson and his wife are the parents of a little girl. When not chasing his daughter, he enjoys playing hockey and golf, and watching the Toronto Blue Jays and Michigan Wolverines.
