“I will continue to empower and encourage my staff to perform at their best as I have done for the last decade. I will continue to advocate for my clients, embracing new technology and being open to business and industry changes”
Ken Dixon,
Dixon Insurance Services
Jennifer Curpen’s career in financial services began at age 19 when she joined her father’s advisory firm, setting the stage for her 27-year journey in financial services. Known for her commitment to helping clients from all walks of life build a secure financial future, Curpen prioritizes education and empowerment in every interaction.
In 2017, her dedication to advancing women in finance led to her appointment to the Executive Committee of Women in Primerica,* an internal group of independent contractor sales representatives, where she actively promotes opportunities for women across the industry. Her passion for financial literacy, particularly within marginalized communities, has become central to her advisory philosophy.
Curpen’s influence has expanded nationally through her role on the board of FP Canada’s nonprofit arm, the Canadian Foundation for Financial Planning, where she works to elevate financial literacy and education.
Recognized for her excellence, she received the Best Entrepreneur in BC award from the African Canadian Business Chamber in 2022, followed by the Best Professional Service Business from the Black Business Association of BC in 2024.
Curpen’s work continues to inspire financial confidence across generations, making her a celebrated honoree among Wealth Professional’s top women in wealth for 2024.

What are his plans for the future?
On a business level, “more of the same. I will continue to empower and encourage my staff to perform at their best as I have done for the last decade. I will continue to advocate for my clients, embracing new technology and being open to business and industry changes.”
On a personal level, Dixon invests significant time, effort and funds, along with his GT3, to support many charities through his passion for motorsport. From participating in and sponsoring the Thunderbolt Run (which provides tens of thousands of dollars in support for Beyond Blue and Prostate Cancer), to organising and running the Track Knights for Amira charity night where 28 Exotic Supercars raised funds through passenger laps in wet conditions, Dixon states “this is our time to give back to the community and those in need. My friendships and association with those seeking to do the same, allows us to contribute to those less fortunate and raise funds and awareness”.
He adds: “To be able to give back to the community is rewarding and fulfilling. I am honoured to be in a position where I can raise funds for those less fortunate and in need.”
